Manual work
Repeated checks and actions consume time and become inconsistent as a grow expands.

GEIA is an open, modular smart-farming platform designed to help growers automate, observe and improve real growing environments, without forcing every farm into the same system.
Across agriculture, growers face the same pattern: manual work that does not scale, unstable conditions, limited visibility between cycles, and automation systems that are rigid or difficult to adapt.
Timers and isolated controllers can trigger actions. They rarely explain what changed, why it changed, or how to improve the next cycle. GEIA was created to close that gap.
Repeated checks and actions consume time and become inconsistent as a grow expands.
Water, climate and equipment interact; isolated controls miss the complete picture.
Without event history, charts and images, it is difficult to compare one cycle with another.
GEIA connects monitoring, automation and learning while keeping the grower in control.
GEIA grew from practical work across systems with very different dynamics, risks and constraints.
Reservoirs, irrigation, water chemistry and environmental control.
Including high-pressure systems where timing and reliability matter.
Living systems that require careful observation and safe operating limits.
Climate, irrigation, logging and gradual automation without replacing the farm.
GEIA focuses on controlled environments, where automation has the strongest immediate value, while supporting outdoor monitoring, seasonal comparison and remote experiments.
Different growers need different sensors, logic, infrastructure and levels of control. GEIA therefore evolved from one automation system into a modular platform.

Combine the sensors, rules and equipment that belong together.
Add nodes, zones, integrations or edge infrastructure as needs change.
Use shared history, events and images to refine the next strategy.
GEIA connects growers using it in real environments, builders integrating hardware and software, and partners contributing services, tools and expertise.
Founder-led · Ecosystem-builtGEIA was founded and architected by Junell Abdi, drawing on decades of experience in IT systems, embedded development, infrastructure and hands-on farming automation.
The platform has since been shaped with engineers, designers, farmers, researchers and early testers across multiple countries. It evolved through real deployments and practical constraints - not in isolation.
GEIA is an open foundation for long-term learning, automation and collaboration across different farming contexts.
